Bl20p G3 Smartstart Problems
i just get a load of BL20p G3,
unfortunately the Smartstart 7.10 produces
a Hardware detection error.
And even more bad, the Smartstart 7.20 isnt able to lauch any of its utilities like Array Configuration, Server diagnostic and so on.
Error message:
Connection refused to 127.0.0.1:2381
I even tried to replace the normal ethernet cable with a loopback plug. No effect.
Firmware changes from ilo 1.60 to ilo 1.70 and
system rom from 11.11.2004 to 12.02.2004 has also no effect.
i mount the cdrom with the virtual media option.
Any hints ?

Re: Bl20p G3 Smartstart Problems
SmartStart 7.20 should work, but it really isn't the best method for blade installation. Normally we expect blades to be deployed automatically rather than interactively through something like the Rapid Deployment Pack. However, for an interactive installation, a "BladeSystem Configuration Wizard" has been added to iLO. You'll find it under the p-Class tab in the iLO interface.

Re: Bl20p G3 Smartstart Problems
And yes i would enjoy to deploy it,
but i neew one master to capture the Hardware config. At least by bl20p g2 jobs in RDP 1.6 does not work.
At the moment i update to RDP v2.0
maybe it works than.

Re: Bl20p G3 Smartstart Problems
when i use the Wizard i have to use this dumb one logical drive over whole harddisk.
Thats not what i want.
I need
6GB System DRive
4GB Swap Drive
2 GB Logdrive
the other is that for programs and data.
I cant do this with the ORCA or with the wizard.
