Blades BL20P crashes during win2k3 installation via iLo

Hi,
I am installing win 2k3 on BL20p server using ilo (and virtual cd). installation starts and works well til the time files are copied and then the server crashes (blue screen). I had updated the Bios (08-16-2005) and ilo (1.82).

What else should I do. I need to fix these servers today so any help will be greatly appriciated

Hi Chander!
Do you use Smart Start CD? win2k3 with integrated SP1? Try to install with "clear" OS CD without SP1 and then manually upgrade after installation will completed.

Hi Chander,
I would advise you to install with minimum hardware configuration. I experienced the same problem with BL20p and I reduced the memory to single module 512MB, also remove any fibre channel card or else installed hardware. Plz note that if you intend to remove one of the 2 CPUs then you would need to install a new heat sink for the CPU you remove as heat sinks of these CPUs are disposable, you can see detail on CPU installation guide. Thanks to you all for the suggestions.

I needed to use the win2k3 CD WITH SP1 to avoid the blue screen.
