Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x00000050 ...)

Symptom: Server hangs, responds to pings appears up, but can not input at keyboard, can not view event logs, can not access shares and stops responding to SQL requests. Only recourse it to power it off and back on.

The server is a DL380 G4, once its back up there are no stop codes in the event logs, only an abnormal shut down reported. In the HP Intergrated Mgmt Logs I see:

Blue Screen Trap Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x00000050 (0xFFFFFFF5, 0x00000000, 0x8093C734, 0x00000000))

I see the a few similar traps in the past...
Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x0000000A (0x002D7D7C, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x80A79123))
Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x000000C2 (0x00000007, 0x0000121A, 0x02050001, 0x88982AB8))

The server is now running the latest HP firmware and drivers. When running MS driver verifier to attempt to stress the drivers I can stimulate a Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x0000005C, 0xD0000002, 0x00000000, 0xF73476E4)) with the same symptom, server hang, no windows event log entries.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x00000050 ...)

Storport can cause the issue.

Update the latest storport from here

this must at least stop the 0xd1, there are known issues with d1 and 50...
