Blue screen (stop error).

One of our HP DL 380 G5 server have some problem
When push the power button in the server, server is booting without error.
Server is running properly, all users long on the server and work properly.
But when we trying to reboot or shutdown the server,
after few minutes when complete some shutdown process its show blue screen (stop error).
Then we shutdown the server by force (manual).
Again the server start its running properly whenever not shutdown.
We also replace RAM but no change problem is same.

Re: Blue screen (stop error).

Please provide the Stop Code Error on the blue screen and the message. There are many blue screens. Might be a driver or a corrupted file.

Also, please provide the specs of the server, including the controller, firmware levels, and other items in the server.

Re: Blue screen (stop error).

Hi Mahbub,

Firstly, Uninstall and reinstall SP2 & Swap the RAM.

It is either a Hardware issue or you did the non destructive system restore. When you do the restore it leaves the operating system intact, and leaves your problems.

So, I suggest you for a complete re-install of OS.

Re: Blue screen (stop error).

Mahbub,

Please provide the server specs as well. Does this DL380 G5 have a E200 Controller? Stop error looks like this: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;969550

If it does, what is the controller firmware version?

Re: Blue screen (stop error).

Run a couple of the minidump files through windbg, it may point you in the direction of where the problem lies..
