How can I boot a DL360 G5 from an external (USB-connected) DVD drive? The internal DVD drive appears to be unhealthy and I'd rather not wait to replace it.
YOU can do one thing if your external DVD is not working , then open your server's top cover, unplug the cable wich is connected with your internal drive and plug the cable with another dvd drive and boot your server.
