Boot drive, not on Array card.
Is there a way to set up a bootable SCSI drive on a device other than an Array controller?

Re: Boot drive, not on Array card.
Yes.
The ML350 G2 ships with a dual-channel embedded Ultra3 scsi controller.
connect the boot drive to that controller and set the controller as the boot device in the F9 - Rom-Based Setup Utility.
Cheers,
Janine

Re: Boot drive, not on Array card.
Hi,
Only Array controller available from
"F9 - Rom-Based Setup Utility".
I need to connect it to a RIB card.
The problem was that originally I connected a SCSI disk to the RIB card as I was unable to get the Array to work.
Was able to run this up without any problems and was selectable from Rom-Based Setup Utility.
Then I connected another SCSI disk to the Array controller (swapped previous disk) and was successful in this build.
When I went back to install the old disk (as I have to do a dump of the DB and backup files) it was no longer available in the "F9 - Rom-Based Setup Utility".
Any idea on how to get this back.
Thanks Brad
