Boot fails when USB Drive connected.
Have a ML350 G6 server W2008 R2 installed. When I plug in an external drive (for backup) it will not boot. it keeps looking for a boot location, but never boots.
Is there a BIOS Setting to turn on/off to get it to boot from the RAID 0 configuration

Re: Boot fails when USB Drive connected.
It must think it's a bootable USB device. Move the USB device below the hard drive in the RBSU boot priority:
Boot the server and press F9 as its booting. That launches the ROM BIOS Setup Utility (RBSU). In that utility, go to the Standard Boot Order option, and move the USB drive down in priority so that it's lower than the Hard Drive and/or RAID Controller.
Press ESC to exit the RBSU. The server will reboot and should boot to the normal drive now.
