Boot to IDE Drive Proliant ML330?

Can you install a IDE harddrive and make it the first boot device? In the BIOS I am unable to change the IDE device from Second in the boot order.

I think you are using the SCSI model. If yes, only SCSI hard drives will be supported. In ATA models, you can have IDE HDDs. Read here:
