Booting of Raid-Controller-Driver fails
Hi,
i have a problem with OS-Installation (Win XPP) on a Proliant ML110 G4.
After copying files for installation i have to laod der Raid-Controller driver for the s-ata raid from intel. as no floppy is available i tried the tool to convert an usb-stick to a floppy drive. first before installation it loads the raid-controller driver from the stick. during installation windows asks again for driver. but at this time it didnt see the stick as a floppy-drive.
How can i install now WinXPP ???

Re: Booting of Raid-Controller-Driver fails
First of all Murat, Win XP is not supported on Proliants servers!
Then, in order to load the drivers you will need to use an USB Floppy drive or create a slipstream CD with the drivers already loaded on the CD!
Regards!

Re: Booting of Raid-Controller-Driver fails
This occurs because XP discovers the hardware after you load your drive and is loading one it thinks is correct for the device over the top of the one that you know is correct.
As said above, you will need to get a floppy attached, either internally or externally, or load what you need on a CD
