Boots with black screen and stops

Hello,
We have a Proliant 5500 that stops with a completely black screen, right after the bios messages of the 221 Scsi controller have completed successfully. No failure messages, no ntldr or other boot failure messages, no boot menu. There are no logical disk problems, boot sector successfully rebuild with NT repair to no effect. Hardware diagnostics detect no problem, anyone seen this before ?

with which version of smart start is the system initially installed?
Have you tried to update the system partition.

Hello, Any news yet for your ProLiant 5500s - We have 3 (three) of these Servers that are doing the same (We have to boot from Floppy Disks.

The Array Controllers we have are SMART-2DH & SMART 3200

No error messages, just a blank screen with cursor in top left hand corner

Have applied latest support pack and have upgraded system partition - still no joy
