Brand New DL380 G6 (two 72 gig SAS drivers) RAID 1 - how to
Hi Guys
I have acquired a brand new HP DL380, I also have 2 (72 GIG SAS drivers), i would like to set these two as RAID1 - there is no OS on the server.
I have never worked with HP servers before, so could you pleaee guide me in the right direction for setting up RAID 1 for these two disks? without having the OS installed first?
Or do i need an OS and do the RAID config through that, i would be grateful for your answers/help.

*-Maintenance > HP Array Conf.anf Diag.
*-Select controller card. after raid configration

Hi,
Get the following if they didn't come with your Server:
Smartstart
Proliant Support Pack
Firmware Maintenance CD or Smart Update Firmware DVD
Boot the Firmware CD and update all components (this will also help you ID all hardware controllers found on your system) with the latest Firmware
Boot SmartStart and configure your system disks using ACU
Install the OS and PSP
Update with any applicable Driver and Agents for your OS and System Hardware
Start here:
