Breaking mirrors and rebuilding drives-Problem Handling
Hi,
In our company we have allot of Hp Servers from PROLIANT DL360 G1 to PROLIANT DL380 G4.
The First Two Disks 0,1 Configure as RAID 1 and Contains The OS System Files.
We Also Have a Third Disk As Backup copy.
I Follow The Document: "RAID 1: breaking mirrors and rebuilding drives"
When I Tries to recover from my third disk
The Array Controller Recognized the logical volumes. But the The drive-online LED didn't turned solid green.
When I press F2 (I Want to boot with Only One Drive) and the F1 the OS failed to load.
What Can I Do To Recover From My Third Disk ?
Thanks Tal.

Third Disk As Backup copy ?? Previously used one of Mirrored Drive and Pulled OUT ?
When you pulled 3rd Drive as backup did you
add it to same Bay for source ?
How did you tried to Rebuild:
Added 3rd as source and added target on the fly or System was down?
Did you get and 17xx Series POST messages ?

Re: Breaking mirrors and rebuilding drives-Problem Handling
Hi,
Just on thing.
Clear NVRAM
Boot with one hdd only.
Check under ACU what is the status.(using smartstart cd)
If you boot with 1 hdd
Then What is the error message you are getting?
I think you have used F2 option which bascally disable the drive.
you sould have chossen F1 instead.
Regards,
Prashant S.
