Building a DL380 for SQL-server use. Spec tips
Hi.
I'm going to build a DL380 that will be used as a MS SQL server.
It will serve up to 50 users running Economy and CRM programs for 100-300 companies.
What I'm mostly concerned about is the hard drives.
How to spec them to make this as safe and fast as possible.
I'm thinking 2x72GB RAID1 for OS, but I'm not sure about SQL DATA or if I should go for one array for SQL Logs and one for DATA, or just put logs and data on the same array.
And should I have two RAID Controllers, or only one?
I'd appretiate input from other users with similar experience.
