CCISS Monitoring under Slackware
How could we monitor the status of the array's connected to Smart Array 6i and running with CCISS driver under Linux ? (Not suse or redhat) Slackware.
Is there a utility to see the status of the array and the drives? or if one of the drive fails, does the driver writes an warning to a log file?
thanks for your help.

Re: CCISS Monitoring under Slackware
you can use ACU for linux do to so.
Select you server then oc it will give the option
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/16044.html
Same if Hdd is failed error is logged under IML also for that you also need a linux based iml reader from website.

Re: CCISS Monitoring under Slackware
But your replies are not helpful.
What I need is a software that I could run under any distro of linux, not REDHAT or SUSE!,
that could show me the status of the array controller and the drives connected to this array controller, this is done by "dellmgr" under poweredge 2850.
What I need is a program like this, and I hope it is not redhat package, it is source.
Waiting for anybodies reply.
Thanks!
