CL380 Cluster SCSI Configuration Issue

I have a 2 node CL380 with a single CR3500. I am having a heck of a time getting both nodes on the shared disk array at the same time. I have gone via just about every manual and done everything step by step. I understand each controller should have a different SCSI ID. Node 1 is #6 and node 2 is #7 as recommended by the manual. Each node independently works fine on the array, but if both are on at the same time they can├в t "talk" to the array. It looks like it├в s a SCSI ID conflict because if there is any activity from ether node, both activity lights blink. I have both nodes ID's set correctly. I am running Windows 2003 Enterprise. I am lost here? Oh by the way, this might be the problem, however I have no way to tell, I am using SmartStart 5.40. Could it be that this version of SmartStart isn├в t setting the ID├в s on t

Re: CL380 Cluster SCSI Configuration Issue

In SmartStart 5.50 they added clustering support. It may help!

You are using the CR3500 Configuration Utility:

Enjoy!

Re: CL380 Cluster SCSI Configuration Issue

Unfortunately, no... SmartStart 5.50 has not yet been released to an ISO... but I know a way to request that HP put this in the works. You can help me by following this thread:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=616939

Use the SmartStart E-Mail Form at: http://atwnt947.external.hp.com/fd2/email_form.cfm?countrycode=US&langcode=en&sni=compaqsoft221025
and request that the SmartStart 5.50 be made an ISO.

That said, you can order the 5.50 CD from HP for like $25.00.
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/subscription/PSM_subscription.html
Be sure to get 5.50 and not the new 7.10 version...
Enjoy!

Re: CL380 Cluster SCSI Configuration Issue

I am in the same situation as Max. I am configuring a CL380 and have SS 5.4 (also have 6.2, 7.0, and 7.1. Does anyone know if SS 5.5 actually fixed the issue with the CR3500?

And if so, I too would like an iso of the CD.
