COMPAQ ML350 G3 solaris x86 V8 install Error


It is state that remove raid card for solaris install.

Now solaris install complet

Is not doing service because Lan Card does not install gouging PCI slot.

4 LanCard As should be placed gouging ML350 Server.

64bit support 4 of PCI slot 5 among otherses 1 are 32bit support slot.

Succeed if do solaris install establishing intel lancard on 32bit support slot.

But,

It does not become O/S install and booting two if establish lancard gouging 64bit slot.

Was clarified that ml350 g3 server does not support solaris in HP Web.

But, we must do solaris install certainly.


I want to gouge 64bit slot and know reason whether does not become lancard install solaris install.

Also, I will be appreciative if inform solution method.

Hello,

I think I understand that you are having problems installing a Lan card in the PCI slots.

Note:
On the System Board, there are four 64-bit PCI-X 100 MHz (3.3V compatible ) and one 32-bit 33 MHz PCI (5.0V Compatible) slots available.

If you Lan card is a 5V device it might not work in any of the 64 bit slots.
