COMPAQ PROLIANT ML 350 G2 1133 Mhz SYSTEM CONFIG

I??ve Upgrade from NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 therefore I used the Smartstart CD 5.20 and the erase-utility to clear the system, at the middle of installing there would normaly be the system-config-programm but here the server only makes a reboot.

I??ve also tried to reset the NVRAM, tried with smartstart 5.5 from CD and from system-partition, tried with the latest system-config-programm from the website, but it??s also the same the server only reboots. I??ve checked the CD on our other Proliant 8500R here??s the system-config-program and it works fine.

But it??s possible to use the F8 Key for internal config - that works. I??ve checked the DIP-Switches the config is not locked.

So what the error?

Hello Erik,
Your server ML350G2 has a rom based set up so you dont need the Smart Start CD for initial set up.
