Re: CPN Fan speed control?

Well, I think there is something wrong with the fan/heatsink assembly and you should get this replaced.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: CPN Fan speed control?

Hi,

I am having the same issue on a HP dc5000.
I noticed the problem 6 months ago. Previously ran the pc daily with no problems for about 2 years.

The pc was assembled by HP so improper fan mounting should not be the case.

Read somewhere that it could be linked to heat-transfer grease evaporating over time. Is that possible?
