CPQ 1850R won't boot

We are troubleshooting an 1850R that hung during shutdown, was hard powered off, and when powered back on it does the following: power light comes on, drive lights come on for a second or two then go off, the fans come on, and the raid controler has power. It will not boot at all (no POST) and gives no video signal. We changed memory, CPU and VRM.

Kevin:

Have you tried to install a PCI based video card. Something like a S3 or old Trident based card will work.

It had an ATI radeon 9200 PCI video card in it prior to this incident. The card was removed and the onboard video produced the same results.

Re: CPQ 1850R won't boot

Make sure SW1 switch 1 is ON when you install a PCI Video Card.
Make sure it is OFF when you want to use the on-board video.
