where as error infor provided check the following doccument

--------------------
Slow Tape Backup Performance May Occur During VERITAS Tape Backups Using Certain Versions Of The CPQ32FS2.SYS Driver In a Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 Environment With A TL892 Tape Library
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RELEASE DATE: February 2003

DESCRIPTION
A ProLiant server running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 using the CPQ32FS2.SYS driver Version 4.4.14.0 may experience slow tape backup performance with a StorageWorks TL892 Tape Library configured on the 32-bit PCI Dual Channel Wide Ultra SCSI Controller that ships with the library.

Note: CPQ32FS2.SYS Version 4.4.14.0 shipped with SmartStart Release 5.30.

The CPQ32FS2.SYS driver version 4.4.14.0 for Windows NT 4.0 fails to negotiate the proper synchronous transfer rate when the TL892 Tape Library is connected to the 32-bit PCI Dual Channel Wide Ultra SCSI Controller Library Adapter Card. The result is slow backup performance with approximately 5MB/S data transfers occurring.

This problem was observed using the following hardware configuration and running VERITAS Backup Exec Version 8.5 and Computer Associates Brightstor ArcServe 2000 to perform the tape backup; however, it could occur on other ProLiant servers or in a Microsoft Windows 2000 Server environment:

ProLiant 1850R 400MHz (System ROM Revision 07/20/01) with 64-MB RAM
32-bit PCI Dual Channel Wide Ultra SCSI Controller Library Adapter Card
TL892 Tape Library with Robot Firmware Revision 525
DLT 35/70 Drives with Firmware Revision V97
Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 with Service Pack 6A
ProLiant Support Pack from SmartStart Release 5.30
VERITAS Backup Exec Version 8.5 with VERITAS drivers from release 29A for tape drives and robot

SCOPE
Any ProLiant server running Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 using the CPQ32FS2.SYS driver version 4.4.14.0 (or earlier) with a StorageWorks TL892 Tape Library configured on the 32-bit PCI Dual Channel Wide Ultra SCSI Controller that ships with the library.

RESOLUTION
To correct this problem, upgrade the CPQ32FS2.SYS driver by downloading one of the following Smart Components:
