CPQASM Intermodule Bus Error
We have Windows 2000 SP3 servers with 2 Emulex LP9000-E HBA's with FW versions of 3.90A7 , driver 5-2.13a4
Using Veritas Netbackup 4.5 and 4 LTO-2 drives in an IBM 3584 library.
If we use multiplexing on the backups * 4 the server falls over when running backups with a CPQASM Event ID 4223, The system encountered a Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI) prior to this boot. The NMI source was: Intermodule Bus Error, error code 0x0.
The data part of the event is
0000: 00000000 004e0009 00000000 c435107f
0010: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000

Re: CPQASM Intermodule Bus Error
Hi !
I encounter the same problem than you (with same data part) on the same HW with the same system rom but under Windows server 2003 standard, with Insight Agents 7.10 and Emulex driver more recent v5-2.21a7. I use also netbackup 4.5.6 but no LTO drives!
The HP server diagnostic utility doesn't found something wrong.
Strange isn't it!
Maybe a problem caused by Memory controller on system board or PCI board (EMULEX !?).
I will move the Emulex adapters on different PCI slots to check.

Re: CPQASM Intermodule Bus Error
Did anyone find any solution for this? We have a DL580 P20, acting as a file server, with the identical problem.
Needs urgently help. The server should go productive in the next few days.
Thanky to all.
