CPQFCASA.NLM

Hi,
We have installed Netware 6 on a ProLiant DL 380. The Compaq nlm CPQFCASA.NLM is loaded by default. As I understand this nlm has something to do with Compaq Fibre Channel disk arrays. We have no such array connected to this server but it seems as this module causes problems with a Qlogic FC-HBA. The module is not loaded in the AUTOEXEC.NCF . If there anyone how know how to avoid loading this module at startup.

Re: CPQFCASA.NLM

Hi Leif;

The module is the Fibre Channel Array Subsystem Agent for Novell NetWare.

It most likelely loaded with the Compaq agents - they detected your Qlogic HBA and "thought" it one of ours...

If you are not using the Insight Manager tools to monitor your server, you can disable the load of all the agents by REMing out cpqsnmp.ncf from the autoexec.ncf.

If you want IM functionality, you can REM out the load of cpqfcasa.nlm from cpqsnmp.ncf.

It lives in sys:\system and can be edited with any text editor.

Cheers,

Janine
