Re: CPQKGPSA Controller errors
Can you update the firmware for the Harddisks?
Have you looked within the ACU or ADUC?
I my opion your harddisk is a pre-faillure condition.
Did you contact HP for it?

Re: CPQKGPSA Controller errors
Usually a time out error is recorded by the windows event viewer when you have a driver for the raid controller that is being corrupt or outdated and as a result of that not doing its job properly. Or it could also be the controller not properly responding for the operating system disk access request with the specific time interval that the OS is expecting to get the requested access
Try Upddating the driver and firmware on the array controller you have
It is highly recommended and is important to update the driver first while you are still in the OS before you try to update the firmware on the array controller. (The reason why is, if you update the firmware first before you update the driver and if the current driver for the array controller does not understand the new firmware when you boot the server up after the firmware update, then you might not able to make it to the OS)

Re: CPQKGPSA Controller errors
Hy All, Thanks a lot for vieweing my problem and providing me suppport; well i have few below mentioned things to clarify and put more light to suggestions made by you all.
1.) Thanks a Lot Brian; I have already set resetTPRLO option to 1; Global & Permanant, on all machines connected via HBA, well this is true but even after this the above mentioned event viewer errors keeps on logging in system log
2.) Thanks a Lot Terry Hutchings; well these errors keeps on occuring only on 1 machine that is our server(Compaq Proliant 6400R); I thought of doing that & today i will do it by checking lose/wornout port / cables on switch & for fibre cables aswell. This task has to be done yet; I will update more on this once i doit. Thanks a lott once again.
3.) Thanks a Lot Amkhamsa; I have downloaded the updated Driver(CPQKGPSA.sys) but as per HP support team they advised that if im updating the driver than be sure to update firmwares of Switch & SAN Storage Controllers as well; yes that's right but i m not sure of what kind of firmwares i should look for i could manage to find the updated driver for CPQKGPSA.sys from HP website from the link that was sent to me but than there are too many drivers there which one is correct i m not awawre of it. what details i should look for firmware driver updates for HBA; S/W & SAN Controllers bit confused. Please help me on these matters;
*** Please note that I have 2 Servers Connected via HBA (DB1 & DB2); Point to take note of is on DB1 i get all the above mentioned event viewer errors ie.
Event ID's 9,11,15 etc.
While on the other server DB2 i get only Event ID 9 error; this may give you some thoughts to narrow down your suggestions to solve the problem; Awaiting for your response..Thanks a lot once again
Best Wishes
HETAL

Re: CPQKGPSA Controller errors
Is the problem gone now? And if so, what did you do to solve it?
