Can not install Windows 2016 onto microSD on Gen9 ML110
Hi There
I am trying to install Windows Server 2016 on a none HPE 64GB microSD card that is inserted into the slot on the motherboard. However when I try to install through Intelligent Provisioning it says device not support.
See attached image.
I am guessing this is cause of a couple of reasons. One is its bigger than 32gb or two that it is a generic card that does not have its "bit flipped" to change it from being seen as removeable as opposed to fixed?
Thoughts?
Does the HPE provided 32GB microSD card have its bit flipped so it comes up as a fixed disk?
Cheers
Peter

Re: Can not install Windows 2016 onto microSD on Gen9 ML110
To add further I suspect the microSD slot is on the USB bus and therefore presents as removeable.
Where as the internal USB maybe on a different bus and therefore presented to the OS as "fixed".
Windows 2016 will not boot from a "removeable" disk.
