The part #/serial # is available in many locations... physically, and also through WMI and it's probably tucked away in some SNMP OID somewhere as well.
If the System Management Homepage is installed with all the correct agents also installed, it will show the serial #/part # on there as well.
By the way, I understand the hassles when a colocation only provides a single network drop. Consider using the shared network port for ILO. It may depend on the specific model of server, like I don't know if the ML310e Gen8 supports shared NIC for ILO, but the DL series have that option. One network drop, although it still needs it's own IP address.
