Can't Migrate from DL360G1 to DL380G2
SYSTEM LOCKED UP...
As reported previously, I was finally able to get the DL380 G2 to boot from the DL360 G1 drive by moving the 5302 to Slot 1 in the DL380.
Then, I ran Smartstart 6.1 to install the hot plug drivers and other drivers associated with the DL380 G2.
When I restarted the DL380 G2, however, the system will no longer boot. Instead, it simply hangs at the Windows splash screen. There is some drive activity initially and then it just stops.
I can put the drive back in the DL360 G1 and it boots fine; it just won't boot any longer in the DL380 G2 after running the CSP.
I tried booting into safe mode and it hangs on boot as well. The 5302 is the boot controller, so that's not the problem.
Apparently Smartstart installed a driver that is hanging the system.
As another attempted workaround, I moved the 5302 to a hot plug slot (slot 3) in the DL380 G2 to give that a try. Same problem.
Any ideas? The system is totally locked up now and I'm back to square one. I could try the procedure over again, but all of the drives are now updated with the 6.1 CSP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and happy holidays!

John,
Ok, let's keep the first thread. How do I bump the duplicate partial thread?
