Can't boot from smart array P212 on ml310 ?
Hi, I have created an logical raid1 array and installed RHEL on it. Installation was successfull, but I cannot boot from the array, it is just being ignored. I have checked the bios many times and the SArr p212 is the first boot device.
PS: when i tried to install w2008 trial it found the raid1 logical driver but refused to install on it, saing that it cannot boot from it :(

Re: Can't boot from smart array P212 on ml310 ?
The problem was that the server came from the factory with the smart array in a certain slot. Moving it to another caused the server to boot from the array.
PS: before reinserting the card in another slot the only way of configuring the array was with smartStart CD. No bios was available. After reinserting the array is accessible via BIOS (F8) also !??!
