Re: Can't find HP NC373i Virtual Bus Device

Download the latest driver for the NC373x controller and extract the file into a folder.
------------------------------------------
HP NC-Series Broadcom 1Gb Multifunction Driver for Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1121516&swItem=MTX-1bb6840e9ca043f182dae4195e&prodNameId=3288134&swEnvOID=1113&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=2

------------------------------------------

-Open the DEVICE MANAGER and view the status of the Network controllers.

-Afterwards, open SYSTEM DEVICES then right click on the 1st HP NC373x VIRTUAL BUS DRIVER then click on PROPERTIES. This will open the PROPERTIES for the VIRTUAL BUS DRIVER (VBD).

-Click on the TAB labeled DRIVER and take note of the current version of the VBD which is installed then click on the UPDATE DRIVER button.

-A window will pop up. We do not want to allow WINDOWS to choose the driver for us.

---------------------------------------

Follow these steps to manually install the VBD.

-Click on NO, NOT AT THIS TIME then click NEXT .

-Click on INSTALL FROM A LIST OR SPECIFIC LOCATION (ADVANCED )then click NEXT.

-Click on DON'T SEARCH. I WILL CHOOSE THE DRIVER TO INSTALL then click on NEXT.

Ignore any drivers this screen may provide you. They could be corrupted. Therefore, we do not want to use them.

-Click on HAVE DISK then BROWSE.

This will open a new window and allow you to locate the folder where you extracted the files earlier in this document.

-Locate the driver named BXVBD.INF and highlight it, then click on OPEN.

-A window will pop up.Click on OK.

-Click on FINISH .

Repeat this process until all the VBDs have been updated and the YELLOW BANGs go away.
