Can't get NC510 PCIe 10 NIC Installed
Just bought two HP NC510C PCIe 10 Gigabit server adapters. They came in a box without any driver so I fired up a browser and downloaded the drivers.....
I'm using a DL380 G5 Win2003 64Bit R2 and when I try to install the drivers, the system says there is no hardware found that works with these drivers nevertheless New hardware was detected and shown in the device manager....
Any one has some pointers?
Thanks

Also, can you check in System Management Homepage if it detects the new NIC? You can also use Insight diagnostics report utility.

Re: Can't get NC510 PCIe 10 NIC Installed
Yep, that's the driver I used (and all the others that where mentioned if you do a search for that nic)
I'm installing another DL380 (32bit) now and I'll try to install the NIC on that one
I'll keep you posted

Instead of installing the Drivers Directly; Can you install them thru the Device manager > Right Click the NIC & update driver > then point it to the Driver location ?
:) Regards.

Re: Can't get NC510 PCIe 10 NIC Installed
Maybe a stupid question, but how much ram do you have? Cause in the quickspecs it says:
NOTE: A minimum of 1 gigabyte (1 GB) of server memory is required per each NC510C adapter.

Re: Can't get NC510 PCIe 10 NIC Installed
did you already installed the Proliant Support Pack(PSP) that will include all the drivers for sure and the also those are the latest drivers
the link above is from 2006
- remove card
- install PSP
- reboot
- turn off server
- insert card
- power ON and let us know

it never a bad idea to have the latest firmware for your System ROM
