Can't install W2K server on ML110 G4
I am trying to install Windows 2000 Server. When I am given the option; I press F6 to indicate that I have OEM drivers for the disk drive. The installation continues until an error message is generated that indicates that no disk drive is present. When I press тАЬSтАЭ I get the following error message:
An unexpected error (0) occurred at line 962 in d:\nt\private\ntos\boot\setup\oemdisc.c
I have repeated the boot cycle several times; with the same results.

Re: Can't install W2K server on ML110 G4
Where are you getting Windows 2000 Drivers for this model?
The HP Support & Drivers area only lists Windows 2003 and Linux.
And according to the OS Support Matrix, Windows 2000 is NOT supported on the G4.
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/index.html
Go to that link and then click on "Microsoft Windows" followed by "ProLiant Servers".
Your best bet is to look for a ML110 G3 or step up to a ML150 G3.

Re: Can't install W2K server on ML110 G4
There is a contadiction here: the disk provided by HP with the machine has a Win 2k device driver for each piece of hardware. Reading other forums my problem is due to Windows looking for the SATA drivers on floppy drive A. However i am reluctant to purchase a USB floppy drive when the resuls are questionable.
