Cannot login to iLO - DL380 G5
Hi Guys,
I am trying to setup iLO on a Proliant DL380 G5. I can access the iLO via ip address and can see the web console. However, it appears I cant log in. Whatever combination of username/password I try it just refuses to login.
I am pretty much sure its because I dont know default username/password for iLO. I`ve got HP iLO configuration guide for this server but that says to use Administrator as username and any alphanumeric 8 character password as password. That doesnt work
can someone help me log into iLO please
many thanks

Re: Cannot login to iLO - DL380 G5
There should be a sticker or tag on the unit that shows the iLO MAC address and default Administrator password

Re: Cannot login to iLO - DL380 G5
Thanks. probably a stupid question, but is it different for every server?
Unfortunately, server is on client side and i am remotely trying to setup iLO. Will have to go there to get the password then :smileymad:
thanks

Re: Cannot login to iLO - DL380 G5
yes, the default password is different for every iLO. If you can access the host OS, you can load the appropriate iLO channel driver and the HPONCFG program which will allow you to configure iLO

Re: Cannot login to iLO - DL380 G5
to configure iLO using HPONCFG it has to be on the same system as the iLO
