Cannot ssh to HP iLO 4 v 2.10
Hi all
I have an HP server with iLO 4 firmware version 2.10.
HP Lights-Out Online Configuration utility
Version 4.5.0 Date 07/17/2015 (c) Hewlett-Packard Company, 2015
Firmware Revision = 2.10 Device type = iLO 4 Driver name = hpilo
Host Information:
Server Name: xxx
Server Number:
I installed CentOS Linux release 7.1.1503 (Core) on this server, and used hponcfg-4.5.0-0.x86_64.rpm to config the iLO port shared with ethernet.
And now, i can ping this IP and check listening port by nmap
Host is up (0.00046s latency).
Not shown: 996 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
22/tcp open ssh
80/tcp open http
443/tcp open https
17988/tcp open unknown
MAC Address: xxx (Unknown)
Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 14.76 seconds
But i cannot ssh to the server by account admin using Centos terminal.
Can someone help me with this?
thanks.

When in shared port mode the host OS cannot access the iLO. You will need to access iLO from a separate client

Re: Cannot ssh to HP iLO 4 v 2.10
Hi Jimmy
thank you for your reply.
Now i can ssh to the iLO from server by terminal, but when fencing, it reported "Unable to connect/login to fencing device"
I'm using GFS2 on HP server with fencing by iLO technology.
My stonith fencer:
pcs cluster cib stonith_cfg
pcs -f stonith_cfg stonith create ilo_fencer01 fence_ilo4_ssh pcmk_host_list="host01" ipaddr="IP01" login="Administrator" passwd="password01" action="reboot"
pcs -f stonith_cfg stonith create ilo_fencer02 fence_ilo4_ssh pcmk_host_list="host02" ipaddr="IP02" login="Administrator" passwd="password02" action="reboot"
pcs -f stonith_cfg stonith create ilo_fencer03 fence_ilo4_ssh pcmk_host_list="host03" ipaddr="IP03" login="Administrator" passwd="password03" action="reboot"
pcs -f stonith_cfg stonith create ilo_fencer04 fence_ilo4_ssh pcmk_host_list="host04" ipaddr="IP04" login="Administrator" passwd="password04" action="reboot"
pcs -f stonith_cfg property set stonith-enabled=true
pcs cluster cib-push stonith_cfg
Can someone help? thanks

Re: Cannot ssh to HP iLO 4 v 2.10
Nice guide
I can config the fencing agents.
But after i create the agents, one of my nodes is rebooted. Can you show me best practise for fencing configuration? I mean value of parameters: delay, power-timeout, power-wait....
thanks

Sorry, I don't have any suggested best practice. Maybe another users can help provide more details
