Changing Asset tag/Location info
Is there any way of changing the Asset tag, Location or Device owner fields on a Proliant running NT4 or Netware 5.1 without rebooting the server?

Re: Changing Asset tag/Location info
Hi Niall;
In a NetWare environment, you can configure SNMP information from inetcfg/manage configuration at the server console.
A reinitialize system from the inetcfg menu after the changes is all you need after that.
In NT4.0, stop the SNMP service, change the information in Network properties/services/SNMP/agent and restart the service.
In both instances, users stay connected and no reboot is required.
Hope this helps,
Janine
