Changing SA-6402 on DL385 from PCI-Duplex to PCI-Simplex?

hi all,

currently our exchange server has both channels of the array connected to the smart array 6402 controller. i would like to change this so that 1 channel is on the onboard 5i or 6i controller and 1 is on the 6402 card - this is so that I can attach a smart array 500 to the spare channel port at the back of the card.

is this possible? can i change SCSI channels around like this without breaking the Windows side of things?
