Changing boot device
Hi,
I have a proliant 6400R with the following configuration :
A Device (the boot device) behind the internal SCSI adapter Bus 1
A Device (a raid1 logical device) behind a SMART 4200 controller
Under Disk Administrator I do a shadow between these two devices
Actually I boot on the device behind the internal SCSI adapter and I want to boot on the device behind the SMART 4200 controller and then remove the device behind the internal SCSI adapter. How can I do That ?
Thanks.

Re: Changing boot device
Hello,
Since these drives were attached to the onboard controller, there is no way they can work on the samrt array controller unless you backup the data, and reinstall the operating system. The smart array controller and the simple scsi controller use different algorithms.
Thanks
