Changing display resolution after installing NT

I have installed NT 4.0 and SP6 on a brand new Proliant ML370. Have also downloaded the latest display drivers for the internal ATI RAGE IIc PCI adapater.

Strangely enough, when I change the resolution and colour depth, and have TESTed that it works, there is not affect after a reboot. I have tried many combinations of colour depth and resolution and update frequency, but it does not change from the standard (640x480x16colours).

Any suggestions?

Re: Changing display resolution after installing NT

Do you have PCAnywhere installed on this system? If so, completely uninstall it and reinstall the ATI drivers. Setup the video the way you like it (i.e. be sure it works) and then reinstall PCAnywhere...

Have seen several similar issues like this lately.

Re: Changing display resolution after installing NT

Is this the only way, i have servers some distance from me with this issue, so on site work cannot easily be done.
