Chipset identification of Proliant IMD?
On my Compaq Proliant 2500, dual PentiumPro 200MHz and 196MB internal memory, I am running Slackware linux 10.1. This server is also equipped with an Integrated Management Display, Compaq Spare part nr.:271930-001 169338-001
Does anyone know what the chipset number or controller is that is used in the Integrated
Management Display (IMD)? Is it possible to view other information on this IMD than already provided by the system?
I would like to use it with lcdproc (http://lcdproc.omnipotent.net/) or lcd4linux (http://lcd4linux.sourceforge.net/), but those programs have no information of this specific lcd display.
Googling did not bring up any usable solutions - but I could be looking in
the wrong alley.
Thanks, greetz, dJezzer

It's called HP ProLiant Integrated Management Display Utility
If I'm not wrong - available only for Windows and some Novell

Re: Chipset identification of Proliant IMD?
I opened the thing and discovered the following numbers:
Print: DMC-50799
Manufacturer: Optrex
label on print: NYU-SLY-B 9784R1 (probably a software revision???)
Eprom: Atmel at89c52
Number on frontside print: cob50799c-assy
When looking on the site op Optrex, I found a manual for the display unit itself.
It would be most helpful if I could get information of the pin-out of the 33pin cable connector. But a component level schematic of the main system board of ANY Proliant that uses these display will give me all the information I need.
