Choosing a Backup media
Hi
I have 3 servers DL 380 G5 with Smart array P 400 BBWC. I was using an external HDD to backup data daily. Now the need of a perfect backup system is high for me. I checked in the HP site and read about HP StorageWorks MSL2024 Tape Library. But also from some posts i read that Smart arrays does not support Tape drives.
My servers are
1. DC + Antivirus Server+ file server
2. DC + Mail server
3. Application server
The data volume from all the server is less than 10 GB
Can anybody tell me which BAckup device is suit for me

Re: Choosing a Backup media
Hi,
Its always better to opt for a seperate controller for backup device.
Following are the options available and controllers listed compatible to DL380 G5 for your ref.
Link: http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12477_na/12477_na.html#Options
Refer to storage controller for external storage and aso refer to disk based/tape based backup devices.
Regards,
Srinivas S
