How can I move my Windows 2k server installation from a DL360 G1 to a DL360 G2?
I tried with sysprep and a image made with powerquest driveImage but the G2 is not able to boot after restoring the image to it. Then I tried to start the recovery console on the G2 but "no Harddisks present Error" occurs.

Solution
If you are using the integrated array controllers of the G1 and the G2 it is probably a problem of different Smart array generations.
They need different drivers (G1:cpqarry2.sys, the driver for the 4xx generation; G2:cpqcissm.sys, the driver for the 5xx generation).
On WinNT 4.0 I added the driver for the other array controller on the source machine and cloned after this with pqdi.
The result was: 2 machines running, even if they complained about the not existing other array controller.
(and then I disabled the unused driver) .
May be this works with F2M too, may be it is more complex.

Re: Clone DL360 G1 to G2 smart array Problem?
Thanks for the tip. I allready did it by using Sysprep 1.1 and integrating the other array-driver in the sysprep process like described on a microsoft knowledge-base article. was working fine.
