Cluster Solution

happy new year people

I have a general question
the idea is create a cluster solution (not very expensive between 12000 - 18000 $$)

the idea is create this cluster using DL servers
what do you think about proliant Dl380 G5?

you have any other ideas or options?
solution: W2003 - SQL

If all you are looking at is SQL data, using MS SQL's mirror servers are a better option. This means you don't need to buy the shared storage that a traditional cluster requires.

You can use a very basic machine like a Dl120 as your monitor server to arbitrate a failover. Two mirrored DL380's work well for this scenario.

that was my initial thought getting an additional storage device wold be much more expensive

so you recommend me Dl380 G5 as cluster solution right?
