Compaq DLT 20/40 GB And PLT ML370

I have a problem with a compaq DLT 20/40 GB Internal with a Proliant ML370, it's a random problem, sometimes all the right leds on the tape are Blinking.
The tape is connected via the IROC on channel 2 the firmware of the IROC : 1.42. And the firmware of the tape is D996. When i reboot the server it's working during a few weeks. I have already replaced the tape several times but still same problem. Any idea. Thanks you

try HP LTT http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50128.html (not sure device is supported but it's worth to try). Did you check if drive has latest firmware? Temperature inside server is too high for drive? Just guessing, because no detailed info provided. If LTT will be successful with drive, attach support ticket to your next reply zipped

Does this happen to certain tapes? Mark the tapes it happens to. If it's the sames ones over and over, I'd replace those tapes.
