Compaq Finger Identification
I've installed a Compaq Finger Identification and Identix 2.03 on my 6000. The system refuses to see the Compaq Finger ID device. I've changed the printer port to lpt 2 and even to ecp drivers. I had it initialize the unit one time, and then the system shutdown. Looking at the logs it said it had a host bus parity error. Is there anyway to configure the type of printer port in the configuration utility? I didn't see an option for Ecp/Epp, Bi-Directional, etc etc etc. It shows that it is compatible with a Compaq Finger Identification (Proliant and the software), but I'm wondering if it has something to do with win2k's parallel port drivers.

Re: Compaq Finger Identification
The only way to change the parallel port mode is by changing it's core settings (IRQ and I/O address + DMA or no DMA). It's already set for ECP/EPP mode from the factory. Are you using the specific version of Identix for Win2K (there are a number of different versions)?
