Compaq ML330 G2 Fan Sensor
I'm receiving the following errors in the Integrated Management Log - "System Fan Failure (Fan 1, Location System Board".
In addition, I'm receiving the following events in the system event logs. CPQASM 4115, followed by 4111, then by 4104. If I remember correctly, the events say that a system fan failure has been detected, the second is for a system shutdown has begun, and lastly that the system shutdown has been aborted. These events happen all at the same time (for instance 9:15:35 AM). Observing the machine while these errors are being logged, I don't see any failures of the fan. In addition, the processor fan has been replaced, which has not resolved this issue.
My question would be is there any way to test the onboard fan sensor to verify that it is operational (my prefered method), or disabling the automatic shutdown feature when the fan failure is detected.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
