Compaq ML350 problem
I've got a problem with my Compaq ML350 server. We re-installed Windows NT 4 Server, and now every time it boots up we get a message that says "At least one service failed to start". The event log shows that the sermouse service failed. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Andrew.
Thanks
Andrew.

Re: Compaq ML350 problem
Hi,
If you have a UPS attached and the serial cable going to it, you will need to add the following switch to your boot.ini entries.
It can happen with other COM port attached devices too, not just a UPS.
This prevents Windows NT searching the COM ports for a serial mouse and accidently detecting problems due to the attached UPS.
Add the /NOSERIALMICE to your Boot.ini entries.
See the following Microsoft KB entry.

I hope this helps.
