Compaq NC3163 NIC and Cisco 5000 Routers
Good Morning,
We are having major problems with some new machines that we have purchased recently. Basically, the scenario is that the system will stop responding to the network totally after a random period of time. If you look at the NIC itself, the packet count has stopped completely. However, I can see no problems with the server, no events are being logged either. Once a reboot is performed, the server works again with no problems. We are using the latest driver revision according to website.
Does anyone know of any incompatibilities with these NIC's amd Cisco routers? This is now affecting about 5 new machines that we have bought, and it has become increasingly more frustrating.
Thanks in advance of any help!

Have you checked with Cisco on the router's BIOS? I do know that some older versions have caused odd problems (various NICs).
