Compaq Network Team with Load Balance, Cisco FEC, and STOP: 0xD1 fixed

Whenever I connect to a DL380 with CPQ Network Team (Load Balance via IP address), I get a STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000000, 0x000000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Driver_IRQL_NOT_less_or_equal. I am using NetBackup on a remote W2k workstation to pull data from this DL380 server. This is not limited to NetBackup. I am using other software, such as VNC to remotely connect to the DL380. I get the blue screen with the STOP error message.

I don't get the STOP error message when I configure stand alone NIC or when I configure CPQ Network Team with Fault-Tolerance.

I called Compaq Help Line and the suggestion by one of the technician is to increase the Receive Buffers (default = 48 to 128 or 256) for each NIC. This seems to fix the problem. I did not try to change the value to 256. Prior to changing the Receive Buffers value I tried just updating to the latest Windows 2000 SP1 and Compaq latest Soft Paq 5.08A. Both updates did not fix the problem. Thanks again Compaq technician for this helpful suggestion.

two NIC3123 with CPQ Network Team, Load Balance via IP address, Cisco FEC
W2k with SP1
Compaq Support Paq for W2k version 5.08A
cpqteam.sys (Version 6.10.610.6)

Cisco 5500 Catalyst (configure for channels)
