Compaq Proliant 3000: unable to detect more than one hard-drive

I have a problem with a Compaq Proliant 3000 server:
The server detects only the hard-drive (9,1 GB) at the position 0 (bottom, left). I have allready changed the postion of all drives and erased the complete system (CMOS, NVRAM, array-configuration,... ) but the I was not able to solve this probelm.

So other drives work but only at position 0 ?

Sounds like a bad drive cage backplane.

Yes. All three drives work, but only at position 0 (bottom, left).

Hi

The disks have light in other position? Probably could be a cage problem.
Revise the firmware version, is not bad to update if there is another more recently.

at the back base of the drive cage there is a duplex/simples enabler it is a simple device, check to make sure you have it and it is properly fitted in place, if it is missing, that may be your problem, if not, the drive cage may need replacement, you can find replacement drive cages on ebay for little money.
