Compaq Proliant DL320 G1 Nic upgrade

Hi there, I currently have a Compaq Proliant DL320 G1 series (the old tan coloured ones) and need to upgrade the Nic from a 10/100 nic to a Gig Nic.
Can this be done?

Yes.

Have a look at this:

Re: Compaq Proliant DL320 G1 Nic upgrade

Stephen,
You can't upgrade the NIC on the system board (LOM). You're only option is to add a gig NIC to one of your open PCI slots. The quickspecs link provided above won't list all NICs HP sells since some NICs shipped after the QS was written.

Here is a direct link to all of the ProLiant NICs currently shipping (with click to order links).

Here is a list of PCI 1 gig copper NICs that should work in your server:

NC340T 4 10/100/1000 133MHz 32/64
NC370T 1 10/100/1000 133MHz 32/64
NC1020 1 10/100/1000 33/66MHz 32
NC7170 & NC7170LP 2 10/100/1000 133MHz 32/64
NC7771 1 10/100/1000 133MHz 32/64

Best regards,
