Compaq insight management

When setting up my proliant 1600 on the compaq insight manager the server appears for a few seconds in the device list than dissapears. This seem to happen after I set the String value in device set-up. The server is still listed in list all devices section of the devices set-up. Any and all help would be appreciated.
