Compaq proliant ml350 and Oracle linux 5
Hi,
i have a proliant ml350 with 1 intel P4 Xeon.
it was running windows 2003 with single scsi disk 70Gb. I reinstalled it with Oracle Linux 5.
the installation went well. but when finish and reboot the server, the booting was looking for a "C:\"drive but Linux dos not have any. check in the Bios but i could not find any thing to change.
Would some body please advise how to boot this linux 5 .
Thanks in advance.

Re: Compaq proliant ml350 and Oracle linux 5
hi tom
is that a ml350 g1? generation?
If I am not mistaken there is an option in BIOS to select the OS in Generation 1 servers
have you checked your BIOS settings?
bye

Re: Compaq proliant ml350 and Oracle linux 5
Thanks Karlo,
Yes there is an option to select the OS.
i did select the Linux but in boot option
it's showing boot "c:\....." and nothing i can do about this one.
..so now when i boot up, it's just looking for the c:\
Do you know a way that i can modify this one.
regards,
Tom
